On 25th October, the first symposium of new manganese and barium material was held in Chengkou county. Specialists and professors from Tsinghua University, Chongqing University, Central South University, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Guangxi University, Chongqing University of Technology, Chongqing University of Science and Technology, Chongqing Test Center of Geology and Minerals attended this symposium. Li Ergang (deputy director of Departmental Science and Technology Platform and Fundamental Research), Hu Xiaofeng (investigator of science and technology department of Municipal Land and Housing Administrative Bureau), Wang Tianju (government subprefect), other relevant county departments attended the meeting. The symposium was presided over by Liu Renlong (a professor of Chongqing University) and Zhong Hong (a professor of Central South University) in stages.

    At the academic exchange, Tao Changyuan (a professor of Chongqing University and director of academic board of Chongqing new manganese and barium material united Laboratories) gave a report on “manganese and barium industry development planning in Chengkou county”. He detailed manganese and barium resources survey, industrial development status and planning, industrial development with scientific and technological support and other relevant information. Later, Wang Yundong (a professor of Tsinghua University) and other 13 specialists made academic report and further communication respectively centered on manganese and barium industry technological innovation, study and preparation on new manganese and barium material, energy conservation and emission reduction, etc. 

    “Exchange is a magic key to keep knowledge alive. It is a ladder of constant academic innovation. I am so pleased to be with you in this golden fall and discuss problems in academic exchange of new manganese and barium material.” Liu Renlong, a professor of Chongqing University, thought this academic exchange, which invited 14 domestic well-known specialists and scholars, was a precious learning opportunity. It actively promoted Chengkou manganese and barium industry to develop in the direction of science, green and efficiency.
