Barium sulfate is used in plastic spacer acting as titanium dioxide and pigment, which can reduce the addition of pigment and save about 10% of the cost. To apply barium sulfate (about 25%) to PP makes PP surface look like ABS and provides high gloss and hardness to surface without affecting the existing PP features.

    Barium sulfate can reach a filling rate of 80% of the weight. It can effectively isolate noise when used in drainage tube, voice box and audio. Increase the weight when applied in curtain. Provide high gloss, good color, scratch resistance, good dimensional stability and other advantages when used in the shells of household appliances.

  Barium sulfate is non-toxic and harmless inert material. The usual barium meal ate by people during gastrointestinal examination is the same type of material. Barium sulfate is insoluble in water and lipid, so it will not be absorbed by gastrointestinal mucosa and is non-toxic to human body. At the same time, it is widely used in paint industry. For example, the high brightness of automotive coating is due to the effect of barium sulfate. Now barium sulfate is produced in particles and applied in film blowing industry to create greater value.

    Barium sulfate is not only non-toxic and harmless, but also has the following functions:

  1 High transparency: Its transparency is much higher than traditional filling materials. It has little impact in the field of transparency. The physical properties of barium sulfate—good reflecting and dispersity decide the good gloss.

    2 Increase the extrusion output in unit time and improve the production efficiency of protective film;

   3 In mechanics, adding barium sulfate not only does not affect the lateral force and longitudinal force, but also can improve mechanical properties. For example, originally a plastic bag can hold ten jin, while it can hold 11 to 12 jin after adding barium sulfate;

    4 Reducing the cost: Compared with raw materials, there is a certain price difference;

    5 No corrosion: Do not damage screw and die head.

    We recommend to add 5% to 10% of barium sulfate at the high pressure of 150 to 170 degree for high transparency. At the low pressure of 150 to 200 degree, add 15% to 20%. In the specific operation we should also consider the quality requirements of film. The physical property of barium sulfate shows a parabola curve. There is a highest point where the addition in film blowing is usually 30% to 35%. This is the vertex and once past, all performances decrease and film quality is influenced.
